Guo worked at a slew of companies including Quora and Venice-based Snap Inc. before she co-founded her own startup called Scale API. She is currently the chief executive of Passes Inc., a West Hollywood-based startup that works with influencers to monetize social media engagement without the need for sponsored posts or brand deals. The company raised $40 million in 2024 to continue to augment a large and valuable form of marketing – the platform operates like Salesforce for influencers, bringing enterprise-grade functionality to the slew of emails, direct messages, contracts and meetings full-time creators juggle. She also co-founded Backend Capital, funding other startups that are still in the early-stage phase. Guo recently became a billionaire.
